Phoenix Rose Marriage and Family Therapy PLLC is a private, online mental health  practice providing psychotherapy and wellness services for individuals, couples and groups facilitated by Breána D. Johnson MA, LMFT.

Phoenix Rose MFT PLLC views change as a creative, cyclical, seasonal and beautiful process. The symbolism of the Phoenix bird, known throughout history as a fiery metaphor for inner transformation is about YOU, the client. Like the rose, the mythical Phoenix goes through a process of birth, death and rebirth, in tune with the ebbs and flows of life. Through relational support and dialogic narrative processes, Breána guides clients through a journey of personal integration.

The peacock and her feathers serve as the the practice emblem. The peacock, also known as the “heavenly” phoenix bird on Earth, is a reminder of how beautiful we are, no matter what we have lived.

Breána’ is trained in classic systems theories, including Bowenian and Structural family therapies. She is familiar with CBT, Imago and Emotionally Focused interventions. She is post modernly and depth oriented, with a relational approach to narrative and social constructionist therapies. Her role as a therapist includes that of the social change agent therefore, she advances anti-oppressive frameworks in her practice. She is somatically, mindfully and trauma informed, as well as LGBTQ, kink, non-monogamous and poly friendly.

Breána’s private practice tends to be intimate, gradual, co-collaborative and flexible. Her work often has developed into long term therapeutic relationships, though she prefers shorter termed scheduling for couples and families (under a year). Breána's clients are typically creative, professional, high achieving and highly sensitive folkx, from a variety of backgrounds who desire to increase their self-awareness and disrupt structural inequalities. Breána has had positive outcomes in treating symptoms of anxiety, depression, post-traumatic and chronic stress.
