A safe place for Black and Brown mental health.

Phoenix Rose MFT PLLC is particularly dedicated to providing mental health content and services for Black people of African descent, people of color and people identified as apart of marginalized groups. Acknowledging the unique social positioning of marginalized bodies in a modern, Western world, Phoenix Rose MFT PLLC is concerned with providing safe spaces and accessible mental health and wellness content to those rendered to the outskirts of society. Phoenix Roses' foundational practices are based in systems theories, trauma informed mental health frameworks and psychological philosophies influenced by depth, liberation and indigenous psychologies. Phoenix Rose MFT PLLC integrates these knowledge systems through a decolonial lens to address mental, emotional and relational dynamics that induce mental dis-ease and dis-order in the marginalized lived experience. Exploring one's family history, ancestry and social cultural lineage is considered an important part of psychotherapy and explorations of the self. Legacies of emotional-relational dysfunction and abuse are seen as connected to histories and systems of oppression and are integrated into clients' understanding of their current lived experiences, identities and behaviors.
